hi there everyone I am new here but would just like to know some information about a coin I have. I can't take a picture of it because I do not have a good camera. instead I will describe it.

this coin is sliver with a crown sign also the date on the coin is 1756. In addition it has some handwriting on it which can not read but the hand writing on it is clear but I just can not read it as is to curvy

on the back it has got a number which is 24 also it has got a name on which says EIEN THALER MSLM and at the bottom of that coin it has three little letter which says HCB.

Would it be a silver 1/24 thaler of one of the German States?

Found it.

German state of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, 1/24 thaler 1756, listed in the Krause world coin catalogue as KM# A64. Struck in the Neustrelitz mint, where a gentleman by the name of Heinrich Christoph Baumgarten was mint official - HCB are his initials. "MSLM" is abbreviation for "Mecklenburg-Strelitz Landmunze" (Landmunze is German for "state coin"). Here's one from 1760 on CoinArchives.

The curly letters below the crown are "AF", the monogram of the Duke of Mecklenburg-Strelitz at the time, Adolf Friedrich IV.

Whups, that wasn't the link I meant to post. This one is the 1760 1/24th; the coin in my previous link is a 1/6th thaler from the same date and country as your coin.
