So I threw one of the wheat pennies I found in the "give a penny, take a penny" in some acetone, just to get some of the dirt off, then noticed this stripe going through the entire coin, both sides! At first I thought his face was all scratched up with road rash, but upon closer look, that's the lighter color of the alloy mixture maybe? Looks like abe's going to a kiss concert, with half his face painted! Then to the southeast of that stripe, the smallest part, is much darker than the bigger portion, that is a lil lighter shade. This light isn't helping my pics, you can see it better with natural light, but yall tell me if you can see what I'm talking about

Just a minor woodie, no big deal. No premium here.

Welcome to the world of improper alloy mixes

Or as called , Woodies !
True , yours is a bit minor and shouldn't carry any premium but is a nice intro into woodies !
I personally like them. Here is one of my favorites, it helps that it is a doubled die obverse as well

Agree, a woodie. I collect those having dramatic characteristics.

John1, regrettably, it is, though not mine. I will suffer it as it's Coppercoins 1928P-1DO-001

It's also a tilted die clash
