HI! I have a roll of 2021P quarters that I have been researching for errors. Out of the roll of 40, I found about 10 with errors (the small die chip on the hat, the broken sword and a couple with both errors). However, I have a couple that I think may be a new error that I couldn't find online so I thought I'd ask you, the experts.

Attached are a couple of pics. You'll notice on the oar and on the boat, there are marks that look very similar to the "cut" for the broken sword error. Also, two of them have a thicker oar. At first, I thought the cuts were handles on the boat to hold the oar but then I noticed none of the others had these marks. Then I thought maybe just scratches but what an odd place for them to be when there are no other scratches on the coin.

What do you think? Thanks so much!

First you should study what a true error is. Things like die chips, damage and varieties are not errors.
The cut on the oar looks like it has taken a hit. Unless you have more with the same marking, then it is just damage.
The " thick" oar is probably from another die which would make it a minor variety, not an error.
