Hello, Joshua here. I believe this to be a clipped planchet but I'm hesitant

That is indeed a straight clip you have there, got a good Blakesky effect going, and there is weakness in the letters on the reverse.

Others must give the shim on. For me it is the first clip planchet with those marks on the side. Do the photos are from the same coin? I am a little bit confuse of the letters and thee marks I see.

Note the weakness of devices near the edge of the straight clip edge. That is the way they should look. Weakened during the strike. Because the collar was not filled because of the missing metal, the devices will not be as strongly struck.
