Coin is really clean with normal scope. The problem ( there is always one) the reverse has a slight divot under the memorial.. I think it came from the mint that way. It has the same color as the surrounding copper. Would this get detailed with planchet flaw? if not would it drop the grade. I have held on to this coin for 4 months and I think I may have asked the forum in the past. If so, I have old timers disease.. I just need to know. Silvio may know , help Silvio

As I always say, it will come down to how the coin looks in hand, luster and eye appeal....and the mood of the graders on a particular day.

Hey BadThad as always the scope picks up spots nearly invisible to the naked eye. It really is a clean coin. The problem that held me back was the reverse under the memorial building, that's a shallow hole where copper is incomplete. It is not a hit or water spot or toning. It's a darn hole. I can never show the luster but it has plenty. You have taught me that. It's as is from mint but still distracting to me. Graders will subtract pts even if it's not PMD? Am I correct in that assumption?

It will certainly be a deduction - clean fields get the highest grades.
