is there such a 1977 penny with double ear or is it damage

If the mark is incuse, then it is damage. The area is raised above the earlobe, then it could be a doubled ear. But so far there isn't anything I can think of at the time. To prove that it will be raised above the fields and devices, take a listing with a lot of the doubled ears and note: "That the affected area is raised above the design or the fields."

CoopHome: What should I see on a doubled ear, that shows it is a die issue? Will it really need be raised above the fields and the design of the ear?
