So there are A LOT of websites and ebay accounts with all kinds of different errors for this quarter. None of which am I absolutely convinced are more than the scratches on this, though I guess some could be we all know I wouldn't know. I did come across one from this website actually and I believe it said the ones I'm asking about on and under the rifle was called a die break?

So on the rifle towards the butt (and tiny one under it by hat is well a I don't know honestly s blob lol. but it looks to be part of coin not just a hunk of dried dirt lol. I found plenty that had a much smaller spot they called an error but not any this size and I doubt I have some rare one never seen so then thought well maybe little spot is there and dirt built up around that. But it doesn't look like dirt. And is visible without a magnifying glass.

Also if not too much to ask as I said I saw lots of them say different errors possible. Like the line through part of ROGERS and the muscle in top guys left arm?. I don't know looks like a whole bunch of scratches to me for a lot of it so hopefully you will know. Will appreciate any help. Actually just refound this. I had put it up sometime last year to check out spot on rifle and then lost it. Thank you. Also I'm sorry 1st pic will not go under 300 at also broke it down in 1/2s. Had to add on rifle at bottom in the butt is a curved line that almost seems to match with water next to it, and by I if Indiana almost seems like marks going out of circle blend with design right inside it.butnto be honest when actually looking at coin I don't think I see that the same

Damage to the coin on the reverse incuse devices area. With the devices incuse on the coin, they are raised on the die.

Yes I had figured as much for the most of it . I was curious on a couple spots but not really questioning them. It's really just the door on the rifle that I wanted to know. And thank you guys for answering

Under the butt of the rifle, that might just be part of the design Die polishing could remove these from the dies as it ages. The area for the DDR's are in the centers of the design. Not on the outer edges away from the centers. Always check the listings for the doubled dies for more information on what to look for on the design. Some designs will not have a DDR it nothing is in that area, like just an open field area. Nothing will get doubled from the hub. So when looking at the Wexler files, if there is not listing, then it maybe on of the issues. Other times it is from none being found yet. So always look at your maps/information from the sites to find out what is and if it is a new listing. But remember locations. Towards the centers of the designs. I call them target areas.

Note the obverse. These will probably not have DDO on the dimes.

Nose and the door on the reverse area.

Earlobe and motto for the Obverse and the Reverse the center areas of the design. Check the sites for what/where these Doubled Dies can be found. When traveling, you check a map to see your destination. Same on doubled dies. Know where/what to look for before searching. Otherwise, you could put your car on blocks and go through the motion of getting to your destination or just be spinning your wheels. Not reaching your destination.
