1943 Mercury Dime Possible Error - Coin Community Forum

The lettering showing on the obverse side appears reversed--the sign of a 'vise job'. Others will be along to comment. Report this Post to the Staff

I second the more probable cause as post mint mischief, and part of the reasoning is the damage to the reverse at the ST of states. It is more of a curiosity now. Report this Post to the Staff
