I couldn't find any other examples of this, but it seems to be some pretty crazy doubling on both sides.

I have never seen anything like this, I don't believe it's light or anything.

. I am not seeing this as a doubled die. Looks like maybe MD=machine doubling and a lighting effect. Or maybe DDD=die deterioration doubling.

I was thinking the same as John, especially in regards to the lighting.

The second group of images that you indicated shows it more clearly doesn't seem to show any.

Can you describe what you are seeing or add arrows to show the areas you are seeing?

Looks like Machine Doubling on the images. It is a striking event with a loose dies that clips the devices most of the time at random. Never a doubled die creation from this process. A doubled die coin can have Machine Doubling, but the Machine Doubling never creates a doubled die. The differences can be seen on the location of the Machine Doubling. Always on the outside/inside edges of the devices. Often in one or more directions. On a doubled die, there is spread seen on the devices on the centers of the devices. (Image host still down)
