Not an error in any any. It has been damaged, There is no way for that to happen during the striking of a coin. Spend it.

Sorry jump PMD on that dime. I'd guess part of it was flattened or possible ground down, also looks like it may have been buried, in any case it's a spender.

But it has another image imprinted and it weighs spot on , hmm and although some of the reading it flat it shows the coin is not round and bigger but thinner then a regular dime I would normally agree with you but since it's the size of a penny imma say it's a dime that got mixed in to a penny die or something of that particular venue cuz the coin also is not smushed in the middle just part of the outside those parts are not ground the are pressed with indentions

Also the lettering Liberty rises out of the edge where it is pressed ? If that was PMD then those letters tops would be flattened but instead they remain print I can see now the photos are blurry shall I post a few more of the lettering and image not roosevelt

Ok thanks everyone still seems strange that it is thinner then a regular dime and bigger it feels lighter but weighs 2.67 I ponder How this happened without flattening the whole dime.....

Looks to me that someone pressed the edge (a bit at a time) in a vise flattening it out then maybe sanded it down some to smooth it out, this could make it slightly larger and thinner.

Probably put in a belt sander or vise like what Dearborn said. PMD.

This coin has been hammered around the outside edge, leaving the center almost untouched. That's why you think it's thinner because the edge is thinner than the center of the coin. And it weighs right because nothing has been added or removed.
