Found these three dimes with what I believe is Machine Doubling or what I've seen called a push doubling. It looks like the die may have moved a bit and then struck the tops of the letters to cause damage. Let me know what you think.

The DDR's are on the central areas of the design. So take a look to see what you should be looking for on a DDR.

Take look at the listing at the bottom of that link. Then you will know what/where the DDR's are. The outside areas are not where to look. Save your eyes for the real locations. If not there, move on to the next coin. (You will be surprised when you see what your no looking for yet)

Note on this coin, the Machine Doubling is show a higher bounce than normal, but still does not make it valuable.

Machine doubling never makes a doubled die. A double die, makes a doubled die coin. Machine Doubling can happen on a doubled because of the Machine Doubling. But no Machine Doubling, creates a doubled die.

I agree with MD. You might want to filter your light source a bit.

Thanks for the help. I was pretty sure this was Machine Doubling but a confirmation helps. Looks like a lot of these late year dimes must have had a lot of this. The coin microscope I got has limitations. I get some better shots from rotation and holding the coin at various angles. However, I did not want to flood the post with too many photos. These examples were clear enough to see what I was interested in.
