Hi everyone
I have a heap of old coins in various condition. Apart from my UK Gold Sovereigns this is probably my highest grade coin. Would any of you be so kind as to give me your views on what grade this would be so I can use as a reference for other coins? My stab would be VF maybe at a push but referencing ebay for coin grades is pointless imo.

Some thinning of the patina above George's ear suggests that there is very slight wear at this point.
good EF (Australian grading)

I notice the PL mintmark (London) after 'PENNY'.

Thanks Sel. Some wear on his upper and lower cheek also but also (not a technical term) the lettering looks blocky and not smoothed (rounded) so I guess it looks pretty reasonable. cheers
