Is there any advantage to having the slab indicate a VAM? Should I have this coin reevaluated to indicate such things? Would it be of any greater value or just cost me more time, money, and effort for the exact same financial outcome? Thanks for your insight.

All indications point to this particular VAM...

The Doubled 1-7 and the scratch in the wing are all present on my coin.

Your example actually looks like a VAM-3A, the clashed die state of VAM-3. I'm not sure there would be any advantage to getting the variety assigned by PCGS on the label as there are currently 110 examples in the SSDC registry and the cost to mail to and from PCGS plus the attribution/ re-holder fee would just erode any value margin.

Thanks, @dave700x. I kind of figured that would be the case. I guess this simply takes this marginal coin to "neat", and nothing more.

It is an interesting variety with all the letter transfer but not a rare bird by any stretch of the imagination. There are many more VAMs that fall into the "just neat" category than those that are rare and add value.
99% of my collection fall into the just neat category and the one or two less common add no real value as the interest level is not there by fellow VAMmers.

I do really like that I was able to figure it out within the realm of VAMs. You took it to another level, but it is a fun thing in terms of research and discovery. :D
