I heard from a reliable source that if you're at the ceremony on Thursday, you can exchange U.S. currency for new 2009 Lincoln cents!

Anybody going? I'll send you $1 for two rolls!

I WANT THOSE ROLLS! Arrrggggg....this is killing me.

Update: The coin exchange has been moved to nearby Larue County High School due to public safety concerns from severe storm damage at the historic site. The school is located at 925 South Lincoln Blvd., Hodgenville. The ceremony at the high school, scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and conclude at 11 a.m., is free and open to the public. Due to anticipated crowds and a limited coin supply, each transaction will have a minimum purchase of $1 and maximum of $5; the maximum is subject to change depending on supply. The public is encouraged to bring exact change.

I live in Louisville. I'll be there Thursday with my wife to get 10 rolls each. (the maximum they say)

The weather forecast is calling for rain on Thursday. That will make for a smaller turnout, which means a possibility of a larger maximum.

C'mon rain clouds.

There is another thread on this subject in the main coin forum.
