I just lucked into a nice example of an AU+ with the line between the flagpole finial and the 50, does anybody know a ballpark of what something like this should be auctioned starting at? I'm flabbergasted at the quality of this coin, with a nice yellowing on both sides in the center of the silver, and no wear to speak of. K Mint marking, definately the Die Crack error mentioned by Castor at https://www.coinsandcanada.com/coin...0-cents-1938

I'll attach photos in a bit. Going to get this pro graded, of course.

Thanks, Matthew

Generally, die cracks do not command a premium. They are an indicator of die state. If dramatic as in terminal die state there may be a slight premium.

Don't be in a rush to send it for grading.
We need pics.
It sounds like a $50-$75 coin, not worth the expense of grading.

I agree about not sending it to a TPG, but sounds like a nice acquisition.

It would cost as much to have it graded as it is worth.
Also a Die Crack is not really an error, it is a Die State or Die Event
Would still like to see photos though,
