Does NCS Take NGC's Rejects? - Coin Community Forum

ron6788 Pillar of the Community United States 655 Posts	Posted 02/08/2009 09:10 am I didn't know these two grading companies were connected until I read the yearly report by the NGC president here. I've been noticing NCS slabs alot in auctions and they invariably have problem coins in them. I also noticed that they are accurately graded which seemed surprising. So I'm thinking maybe NGC offers this alternate slab instead of sending your coin back ungraded when it has problems. A deal like that may convince me to use NGC over other tpgs. If you have a problem coin and send it to NCS for slabbing and they say "no problems", it goes in an NGC slab. They are sister companies. ANA #R3154474 Report this Post to the Staff

Instead thy send it back bodybagged with the suggestion that you might want to send it to NCS. This means you are out another round trip shipping and insurance fee. Report this Post to the Staff
