Welcome to Coin Community, skylerdmpl, and you post a very interesting question.
I'm going to reach, and guess, for an answer, stream-of-consciousness style. PCGS is known to be tougher on DMPL designations than the competition. A coin which is DMPL on one surface and PL on the other should be worth more than a straight-up PL coin. DMPL specialists, however, would be expected to be more exacting and more knowledgeable of the issue. Generally speaking, the coin is worth more in a PCGS slab than an equivalent from the competition.
Boy, I'm just going in circles here.

Other considerations:
- Will the coin comfortably cross at grade? You seem pretty knowledgeable, so you know the pitfalls of that one.
- Are you holding for resale, or for your collection?
- If reselling, do your imaging skills allow representing the reflectivity well, or will you be able to influence a consignment write-up to "reflect" (ugh

) the better surface?
Me? I think I'd hold such a coin as-is. The determining factor for me is the problematic grade crossover, rather than anything else, especially if you decided to re-cross back into PCGS.
