Hi,came across this $1 coin and saved it because of the color. Haven't seen another one this color. Have tried to find out if it's normal color or something else. Found something about manganese used in composition of coin but still not sure.

If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate feedback.

I don't know if I've posted this in the right forum.

This one has been plated, considered PMD. You can tell because of the strange color, and the glossy surface. All original surfaces have been covered, and no luster remains.

Possibly polished, but I am leaning toward plating.
