I have been a member for over 20 years and have served on the Executive. I love the conventions and the people you meet, but I don't get to as many as I'd like being in Atlantic Canada. I will have to travel more.

Nah, I'm like Groucho Marx...I'd never join any club that would have me as a member...

So, right now less than a third are members?! Me thinks someone in the RCNA should do a little recruitment!

I agree..more recruitment...more exposure at Coin Shows, not just the formal ones with auctions, but the ones you se in the malls. Once someone gets their hand on a CN Journal, they will undoubtabley want to join right then and there. I got hooked by reading the journal.

I love the CN Journal. I have some older years too, which reminds me that, like most of my collections, I need to organize and catalogue them! I'd love to get them bound.

Love the journal as well...Greating reading of new articles, and wonderful reprint of older articles as well. One can scour the pages for hours after hours. The journal is really constructed well, so perhaps getting them bound may not be that expensive of an undertaking.

Quote: Watch for my name in the new members section in March/Aprils journal. It just occured to me that it will be difficult to watch for "Dollar1948!" Good to see new members though

There is a couple companies that do binding for the journal that actually emboss the logo on the hard cover. I inquired a number of years ago and it was around $20/year. I don't know if the prices would have gone up much or not.

Yes, the 2010 convention will be in Saint John, NB. I tried to get the Halifax Coin Club to host the convention for years, but they wouldn't (fools! lol). I'm glad to see Saint John do it ... even though their club is smaller ... they do have a lot of good, experienced RCNA member around though, including a past president. http://www.rcna.ca/2010stjohn.phpThis year's Convention is in Edmonton.
