Hi there. If this is in the wrong place sorry. Two questions I need to ask, why do they 100.00 more for PayPal and where are you buying metals and coins? oh by the way Dad left me his coin collection. I am married (38 years) three great kids and getting ready to retire.

Yes, curious about your PayPal question. As far as acquiring coins goes, there are a multitude of avenues--coin roll searching, local coin shops, coin shows, formal auctions, ebay (and other on-line sources).

Many coin/bullion dealers have several price levels. If you pay by paper check, electronic transfer it's cheaper. If you buy with credit card or Paypal, the dealers are charged user fees so the prices are higher.

I recommend buying from Local Coin Stores called LCS. You could also take your inherited collection to a LCS so they can tell you what you have. BUT BE CAREFUL, while most coin stores are honest, there a few that might try to low ball you as to the value. So I'd get more than one opinion if you are within driving distance of a couple coin stores. You could also go to a few coin shows if there are any in your area.

I buy from well established trusted dealers like Bullion Exchanges, Liberty Coins, APMEX, SD Bullion and others. Avoid cheap deals like on Facebook and some Asian web sites. There are often fakes sold.
