I am looking through pennies and I've divided them up by decade. As I'm just starting out I separated sixties, seventies, eighties, and nineties. I was wondering if I can get some tips and advice an on things to watch for with these circulated coins. Do any Have potential premiums that are worth looking for? Or am I just looking at a bunch of old pennies? I don't really know how to aquire uncirulated coins either so I am stuck looking through my daughters giant coin bottle, a little at a time Hope I posted this in the right spot and Thanks for the help!

Now that you have them divided by decades, the next split should be by year, and mint mark. Then got to variety vista, copper coins and wexler's sites to see what you should be looking for, for each year/mm.

Coins are readily available at face value from your local bank. Just ask them.

Besides the excellent reference sites Dearborn provided, I encourage you to look through the many, many pages/ posts made here on CCF. There is a text box atop every page here on CCF on the left side. Enter dates or type of coins you're interested in, and have fun!
