No. But enough of them do get out that they are readily available and cheap. So in that sense yes they are "common". Report this Post to the Staff

Each packet has a blank cent planchet and a fully-struck cent. They make for a good educational tool about the minting process, but who knows how many of the planchets get removed from the packet and "released into the wild?"
