2005 Penny Strike Through Mark?

Hello. I have this 2005 Penny and theres an indented groove that goes through the middle of the coin. From looking at the "5", the leaf and the stem it appears that this groove is underneath it all as none of the above is squished. Its like the groove came first and then it was struck. Is this correct or am I out to lunch lol. Thanks again I appreciate learning from all your comments.

Definitely looks like a struck through to me, neat find.
