Imperfections On Coins, Which Is More Tolerable?

bzookaj Pillar of the Community United States 587 Posts	Posted 06/24/2022 09:52 am I have two burnished ASEs with very minor imperfections. One has an ever so slight nick right next to the rim, to the left of the first 'A' in America. It's not really apparent until you look closer. The other has a slightly smaller spot that looks like a strike through (it looks raised through a loupe), right in the middle of the field left of the eagle. More obvious to the eye because of placement, but it basically looks like a speck of dust. I'm not really so upset by them that I immediately feel the need to replace (I also have a third that is fine). So taking opinions: Which of these two would bother you more if you had them, a minor nick at the rim or a speck of a strike through in the field? In other words, if you had both, but (for some hypothetical reason) could only return one, which would it be? Report this Post to the Staff
