Picked this one from a coin shop I visited a couple days ago for $18. With my newest quest to complete a FEC PCGS circulation strike set, I also decided to collect as many flying eagle snow varieties as I can find, CPG listed examples being the top of the list. This is my first of the 3 big clashes, and although the most common, still another one crossed off the list. Hopefully it won't be too long until I find one of the other two but given their scarcity I'm not holding my breath.

I think this coin makes AG-03 although I think it's possible a G-04 could scrape by.

Thanks for taking a look!

Nice find and thanks for sharing. I agree there is a chance you could rate the higher grade.

The porosity concerns me - maybe an old cleaning from ED.

Thanks Gary! Frog, I agree it's possible there is an old cleaning but at this point it should be a straight grade coin. For $18 I'm not too concerned and these come up every so often so I'll get an upgrade in time. Looks pretty good in hand.

You're probably right. But moot point I'm guessing since it's probably not worth the grading fees.

It's not. I'd say this coin is in the $35-$45 range. If I end up with a VF example or better in my collection I would consider slabbing, maybe a high F example. Thanks for your input!
