Hello Guys and Gals,
Just got this coin and I'm trying to grade it and the only grades I come up with are XF40-XF45 and I need help with the grading. Thanks.

This coin has some great eye appeal and I can also grade it in the XF-40ish range at the highest.

Yeah, probably high VF... tad bit short of XF. 1849 is the tougher date of the 3 year Paris series (1849-51).

I happen to really like this design. The 5 Fr. in particular is a beautiful coin in high grade.
