Before we sent these in, you could put them together and they looked like matching pairs. A rare chain strike!

So - these are coin 1 obverse, coin 2 obverse, coin 1 reverse, coin 2 reverse - is that right?

Niiiice.
In 1999 the mint sure had issues with coins being struck out of collar. Lincoln cents are notorious for that in 1999.


(I like the extra "nubbin" at K10 of the obverse and K8 on the reverse.)
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.

@met, this is a pretty cool set of nickels. You didn't take an overall pic of the three fitting together before they were slabbed, did you. I think that including that image on this thread would really help to clarify for newer collectors what you have there. Thx!

What does the slab say for both coins? I'm seeing one struck 60% off center and the other struck 85% off center with a second strike. Double struck
What makes this a chain strike?
