I have recently had these coins consigned to me and I wanted to share them with all of you before I sell them. They have been certified by Carl Clegg at www.columnarios.com. I still would like Swamperbob's opinion, though.

Edited to add that all of these coins have been found to be counterfeits. The COA's do not belong to these coins.

These too are great coins! I find it interesting though that both of these have such crisp details yet they have a major spot of weakness in the center of the coat of arms. I wonder if this is just strike though.

I have heard from Carl Clegg regarding two of the 8 reales coins listed. Apparently, they are counterfeits with forged COA's. I have ended the auctions for those two coins, but urgently recommend that no one bid on the remaining 4R or 8R coins until I hear from him to verify which coins are genuine.

Honestly, the numbers of the date of the 1770 don't look quite right. Also, both coins do seem rather weakly struck in the middle of the shields of the coats of arms.

The reason that disclaimer is on the columnarios site is because of the auctions that I had running. Apparently, the person who consigned these to me is a big distributor of counterfeits. After the emails verifying that the rest of the coins were counterfeit, Carl called me. We had a very nice conversation and I am very grateful that he alerted me to these coins.
