Hi

Could you tell me if these are Indonesian coins please. The coin book I have only lists sen and rupiah and not cents from Indonesia. Thank you.

Hi Billyboy,

They are Netherlands East Indies.

The first one is a 1/10th Gulden. Minted in Philedelphia (all their 1941-45 coins were minted in the US) and it is .720 Silver. KM#318

The second coin is a one cent. Bronze. KM#317

And, this is my 50th post!

These are, as wd1040 states, Indonesian coins, or coins of the Dutch East Indies (or Netherlands East Indies), as Indonesia was known until the independence.
"Nederlandsch Indië" means "Dutch Indies" in the Dutch language. Legends are in the Dutch, Arab and Malay language.
