Need a positive ID is possible on these two coins that have been here at home for many years.
They are non magnetic but seem to have some kind of metal make up.
Many thanks

They both look so - called "tourist copies" I.e. crudely cast fakes with an applied sand patina. The one on the left is copying a Byzantine follis, not sure about the other one

@bor, first welcome to CCF. Second, they do have the soft devices of cast copies. Can you please add the weight of each coin plus a pic or two of the edges to this thread? Thx.

These are both documented fakes. The Byzantine obverse, speculated (in a couple of fake reports) to copy an issue of Theophilus, is sometimes paired with fantasy reverses. The other coin, based on an Orbiana sestertius, is a very well documented fake - there are LOTS of examples of this one in the fake reports.

Thank you so much for the replies. Really appreciated. I will post pics of the edges and the weights of them when I get back home.

Have no precise weights for these but they are heavier than a normal coin I suppose......and heave for a coin in general.....the edges are plain and are not milled or showing any signs of markings....
Thanks again
