echizento Moderator United States 23731 Posts	Posted 02/11/2009 9:19 pm Very nice NI BU-BAN KIN, these coins are a mixture of .209 gold and .791 silver. As a long time collector of Japanese Swords I've never seen a Tsuka the was able hold these inside. They were usually kept in a pouch attached to the obi by a netsuke, or in a wallet inside the inner garments. Report this Post to the Staff

echizento Moderator United States 23731 Posts	Posted 02/11/2009 10:57 pm Well that's interesting, never saw that before. Sword #1 appears to be a doctor's sword no real blade, #'s 2 & 3 Tanto's. While these were not used very often, if they had to used money would be flying everwhere when the blade was drawn. That's for the picture. Report this Post to the Staff
