Willburton Pillar of the Community United States 2558 Posts	Posted 07/10/2022 12:38 pm Like I mentioned at the start of the thread. PCGS does not drop color designation for carbon fingerprints. They only drop the grade. Usually only one but this coin is ugly. Without the carbon it would grade a 64RD. As is they gave it a 62RD. They only give a 62-61 if they really don't like the coin. panzaldi Bedrock of the Community United States 18664 Posts	Posted 12/26/2022 08:42 am for the most part ugly MS63 coins are graded MS62. if you take away the ugly here you have an MS63. under all the ugly I dont think there is an MS64 coin. too many hits and marks on the obv (lapel, shoulder, jawline) so the grade is correct at MS62 for this one. i concur with Willburton.
