The flyer also mentioned "prices subject to change" so it's just a suggested price at this point.

I am glad they are doing it this way instead of the, "Ok everyone get ready, set, GO" approach.

I think the enrollment program is the mints way of not having to deal with the crazy website traffic on release days.
I signed up for one of each. I am not purchasing anything from the mint this year.

I like how they did it this way. Give ample time to sign up for it. Only issue I would have with this is that with it being out for pre-order for so long, those that want it, have it. This would make it a less rare coin and not as high premiums on the secondary market if you want to resell the coin to cover the cost of your coins. I can see this being a good system for high mintage limit coins but for smaller ones it might be more difficult. Either way I like to see this change and no longer have to take a day off of work to fight you guys over the limited amount of coins available to the public. I ordered 2 of each of the proofs and 3 of the reverse proof sets. As for the BU ones, not worth it in my eyes if you already own the 2020 BU ones.

I will be curious to see the secondary market demand for these. Will also be interesting to see if the enrollments fill up before the launch date.

It will be interesting for sure. I really hope it is sold out before the launch date. Its good to be early and on coin forums where everyone does research for each other. I would have never known about these enrollments for the Morgan/Peace dollars if it wasnt for this group. I would have waited for the 2023 schedule to come out before even knowing about it. This isn't even on the CCAC Meeting page.

The 2023 product options will not include any privy-marked Morgan dollars like those issued in 2021 to pay homage to the Carson City and New Orleans Mints so I guess those two might be worth picking up before more realize that. I have only 1 CC as the website was crazy at the time trying to order so in a way its good they have enrollments so those who want them wont have to go through that pain of ordering. Quality was also subpar on some and mine looks great so thinking now of having it graded knowing no CCs. Still deciding on the 2023s.

I received an email yesterday about these enrollments. Don't recall getting one in early July like most though I coulda quickly glanced at it and just deleted it as well. As of yesterday they were all still available for enrollment so wonder if the higher mintages has turned some away or just missed the initial announcement like me. I'll probably just enroll for the proofs and RP set for next year only. Not interested in making this a yearly commitment.

I received the email today. For some reason I totally missed this thread and thought I was the first to hear about it haha.
I know it's free budget shipping, but not sure if that extends to people in Canada. I doubt it, but thought I'd give the Mint a call. The CS person was less than helpful and just read what was on the website.

Not lamenting but rather just making a statement. We could potentially see the enrollment numbers go in reverse if people who were looking to make a quick sale get discouraged with the interest levels so far and drop out. What it does make me wonder though is that if enrollments continue to be this slow is whether or not the mint will continue to push these out yearly.

Quote:https://www.coinworld.com/news/us-c...lenty-remainEnrollments look pretty lackluster so far. At this pace there won't be any money to be made by flippers. What is weird is that it says there is a total of 25,000 enrollments taking a total of 50,000 coins. Its completely even across all sets. I would expect the uncirculated to be much lower than the proof or reverse proof. Quote:

I feel this set would have been much better if they didnt make the mintages so high. 275k seems really high for an uncirculated coin 400k is way too high for the proofs. 250k for the special set is still... too high. they should have cut those all in half.
