It is only appropriate that this is my 2000th public post on this forum

I am looking for the following information

2009-Perth-Mint-Kangaroo-Nugget

Can anyone tell me if the Perth Mint is going to make these in Fractionals?

I am looking for a 1/10 oz version of this coin.

I know about the 2009 discover Australia Dreaming Kangaroo but
the above coin looks like it would be nice in a collection

Sorry Richard, at the moment there will be no fractionals. With the precious metals market the way it is at the moment, only the 1 ounce coins will be produced. However, this will be under constant review and it is possible fractionals will be available later in the year.

I thought that was the case but when I called the mint they emailed me back this reply:

Quote:
Good afternoon,

Thanks for your inquiry.

We already have produced those coins. They sold out, but if you contact us in a couple of months' time, we hope to have some specific information for you.

Best regards

Isn't it nice to know that the mint employees still don't know what they produced or what is going on!

Even more so as it was printed in this months CAB magazine as to what was happening with their bullion coins.

as long as you are aware that this is a bullion coin you will be fine. I would not expect any collection value. The Australian coins are nice because they have a perfect minting quality. their ST is others Proof.
