This is one very expensive coin as the gold content is 91% gold and the weight is just under 8 grams with a price over $600.00 AUD I don't know if it was a worthwhile investment,

The obverse first

Perth-Mint-2009-Sovereign-$25.00-Coin
Perth-Mint-2009-Sovereign-$25.00-Coin

and in it's case

Perth-Mint-2009-Sovereign-$25.00-Coin

So what do you think.

I like the coin but not the price and therefore haven't purchased one.

At least when the RAM struck the Gold Koala $200 coins and commemoratives, you could cash them in for $200. This one you only get $25, so I guess inflation bites.

Perth Mint has same design in a $1 base metal coin. I got that one, still overpriced but .....

Yes Brissyboy your right with $300.00 AUD of gold at bullion prices it's double (at $640.00AUD) and especially when you compared with the $200 Kookaburra It just doesn't seem to have the value.
