1878-S Morgan Silver Dollar Any Idea On Which VAM?

gsp193 Pillar of the Community United States 975 Posts	Posted 07/22/2022 01:26 am I have been trying to pin down which VAM this is on VAM world going through them all over and over with no luck. MM seems centered and upright. There is a spike above the eyelid, Liberty is doubled, the E appears to have the Die Chip, the fourth left star is broken, the r in trust is not broken, some of the devices seem struck with a rusty overpolished die. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance. Also on the reverse the denticles are damaged in an interesting way to me so I will post a closeup pic of the damage. Even before ~~If all else fails~~ follow the sort by - broken 4th left star, unbroken r, doubled LIBERTY and look at the engraved wing feathers. That is it! I just missed it, must have went right over it a dozen times! The initial description was not what I was looking for I guess and must have passed it by! I thought I checked them all! dave700x Rest in Peace United States 10625 Posts	Posted 07/22/2022 1:14 pm Yeah, I missed it first pass as well. Sometimes the engraved wing feather area can look very different from photo to photo.
