I want to buy a dasco album for the Lincoln cents dating from 1909 to the date with proofs. Can someone post some links to the websites with these albums for the cheapest. Thank you

You mean Dansco. Wizard coin supply or Brent-Krueger should have what your looking for.

Tradewinds also has good prices on Dansco albums, a little better than Brent-K. Don't know how they compare with Wizard. The real problem that you may have is that Dansco has discontinued the Lincoln Cent single album as it was getting too thick. Unless you can find someone with one still in stock, you'll have to go with 2 albums, 1909- 1958 and 1959- current w/proofs

I have used valleycoin before as well. Good deal there. Just a thought....Ebay. I have seen used one go for less than retail and some times the ones at or just above retail have some of the more common coins still in there. I bought my lincoln one on ebay and it had about 70 coins in it, which some were proofs and MS wheats ($31 including shipping)... The dealer sent me a message and told me he wish he hadn't put it on ebay as he had offers in his store for twice what I paid. :) -SWUSC

Just discovered my earlier post was in error. Dansco changed to a thicker binder for the 1909- current with proofs. If you order one, make sure they are sending you the new version that will hold nine pages, not an older version that won't hold the last update page.

Here is a suggestion that may or may not work pending if you have any coin shows nearby. At coin shows I always make sure I get to know dealers. Over the years I've found that many dealers purchase complete or almost completed collections and usually in albums. They take the coins all out, place in flips for sales at the coin shows. Now many just throw the albums out. If folders, for sure they are thrown out. So if you get to know a dealer at the shows and ask for those albums, you may end up with as many as you can carry. A few years ago one dealer gave me several boxes of albums free. 40 in all. Many different types and companies. Now at almost every show that same dealer gives me a few. Today he gave me about 10 of them. Some are Dansco, Whitman, Littleton, etc. I'm a Whitman person but take them all since free and give the ones I don't want to others. At todays show he told me he has many more for me at the next show and as usual, all free.

Just Carl offers good advice! Sometimes they will leave the "common" coins in them and sell it as a starter set; priced the same as (or a little below) a new album. If you let them know you are just interested in the album, they may give you a better price and still leave the coins in it (it would take time to remove them; time they may not want to spend). Some of the coins may be in better shape than what you have (if you have them already), so you might come out ahead. Regardless, ask around before committing!

Looks like they have 1909 - 1995 and then a 2006 - 2009 for the new coins. I guess they'll pick up in 2010 for the completely new design.
