I havent thought much of this coin until I came here and was just wondering weather its possible to tell if its an error or not. also I would love to know any other info on the coin.

Front side (when its the right way up the other side isn't.)

PS the girls head is there to the right of the dent, its just the scanner didnt pic it up very well, and I did slightly change the scanner brightness but it didnt make much of a difference.

No way to tell for sure except it is damge after minting !! People do things to coins with little explaination ,, almost looks like damage from a nail or punch.

I cant be sure about what the coin is but it looks like an early half Penny to me,, for a better shot at Identification, post the pics in the main coin forum,, My resources for these early coins is very limited.
