hmmm, those are quite pleasant looking, art nouveau kinda pieces. What's on the other side of these medals? What would the ballpark going price be for one, in similar(complete with case) condition?
Very appealing to me. Most worthy collectable.

$250.00 too $500.00, one sold in a Stacks auction last year for $1900.00.

I find these to be very representative(for me) of that period in US history, design and all fancy with the plush case... not chincy cheap... spared no expense. Nicely toned too, giving more the olden days look.(insert cowboy smiley here)
I do have a few medallions... and they are solid silver/sterling or 18kt or better.

Are these silver and if so what %.
I borrowed your picture for comparison, just in case I ever find one

<<Are these silver and if so what.>>

Very good question, which caused some resarch on my part.

From what I understand from research, these pieces where made from pure silver, crushed from Neveda ores, and refined at the United States Mint. The ore was sent from Nevada to produce this piece pictured below and subsiquently used for the pieces in this thread pictured above. (Thanks for the question, I did not know this!)
