I picked up this coin at a coin shop 10 cent bin when I was about 9, so about 8 years ago...It is of a yellowish-gold color, decent shape, and small, diameter is about 16mm. On the front it has a pitchfork in between a sun and moon, with the date 2029 below it...that is the main thing that confuses me...on the other side is a character that resembles a nine, or it could be a nine...thanks for any leads, ID's or help...sorry the pics aren't the greatest...

Your coin is a Nepalese 1 paisa coin in brass, with the date VS2021. The Nepalese number "1" resembles our number "9", so we would read the date as 2029, but it is in fact the year 2021 of the Bikram Samvat Era(VS), or 1964AD.
Also, the "9" on the reverse is the denomination, being 1 paisa. Your coin has been struck during the reign of king Mahendra Bir Bikram (1955-1971AD or VS2012-2028)

Thanks...I just had found a reference to it being Nepalese somewhere else, but that just summed up it all in one quick reply! Thank you so very much!
