This coin is slabbed by NGC. Anyone want to try to determine the grade?

I read that there is a scarce "thin date numerals" variety of this date and I suspect my coin might be one of those. Does anyone have specific information about this variety, and can you confirm whether this is in fact that type?

Thanks!

I'm going to say this coin graded EF-40. There is some wear on the hair, a ding on the rim and one on the top of the head. On the reverse there is some wear on the claws and feathers. I could be the slab but the date looks like it also has some wear. Still a nice coin and one I wish I had.
Rest in Peace

AU-50, and the surfaces don't look totally original, but that could just be the photo.

I'll say EF45. The obverse looks AU53 to me but the reverse shows a lot more wear; down to EF40 (cabinet friction?).

My grade could be AU50 on another day though!

Wear and dings make it EF-45 IMHO

Well, NGC was more generous than our forum graders. They rated this coin as AU-55. There is really very little wear, only a bit of rub on Liberty's cheek, the bottom edge of the bust, and the eagle's neck. The softness of the right (facing) talon is due to strike. Luster is pretty strong and the surfaces look original to me. The significant defects are limited to a few hairlines, one dent in Liberty's hair, and one smaller ding on the obverse rim (at 4:30).
Rest in Peace

Early gold tends to be weakly struck, didn't know that until after I posted my opinion. Would have said Au-53.
