i have a 1987 d penny that has an extremely unique double/triple die on it. Picture a normal 1987 d penny, then picture the memorial on top of lincoln's bust. The words 'united states of america' are on both sides, and the penny is slightly oblong from the double/triple die. I have talked to many dealers who have not been able to tell me anything - does anyone know what this is or how much it could be worth?
Thanks a lot

Madhandles, I have discovered one too. also the mint mark appears to be doubled as well.
I've tried to scan a picture, but it doesn't due it no justice. guess we well just have to wait and see if this issue comes up in the future
I seem to be having a problem attaching, but if you send me an e-mail, I can attach the scan. Like I said, doesn't really show the tripling.
have a great day.
