In my Poland collection I have a number of minor coins struck there, including the earliest dated coin (a 1528 schilling if I recall correctly). Getting a larger silver type was on my want list for a while, but I kept getting outbid and gave up. And this particular image I find inspiring. Also for me the mid-1700s will soon become a bit bleak, with mostly minor copper types until the 1720s and Lorraine coins tied to the French silver coins of that era. I have a second coin for this date, a 1/4 thaler of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, minted in Leipzig: As I mentioned upthread, this guy is NOT very photogenic. . Report this Post to the Staff
