Here ya go. This Hoheringheller from Cologne was minted at Riel and is datable to 1432 AD. It has been attributed as Noss 346.

And for 1432 Jaunpur Sultanate AE falus AH 835 This one has been silvered. In The Coins of the Indian Sultanates, Goron and Goenka note that these coins are sometimes found slivered and the silvering is presumably modern.

Yes, it seems to be quite prevalent in coins from the sub-continent. A significant proportion of coins I have sourced on-line from Raman coins and saifcollection have been silvered.

For 1431, I have this Double Gros of France. Based on the specific emission, I believe that it is datable to between June and August of that year. I have attributed it as Duplessy 488c and Roberts 2906.

Quote: Do you know why? @bd251 I would guess perhaps to enhance the look of a coin that is corroded.

Bummed that I can't move us forward as 1430 is still a hole in my OFEY collection.

Jaunpur Sultanate AE falus AH 833 (1430 CE) GG-J8, silvered. Quote: @bd251 I would guess perhaps to enhance the look of a coin that is corroded I guess that makes sense. Just seems odd to do for these low value coins.
