Edited to say "P", not "s". I'm looking for thoughts on this 1976-p dime please. We're fairly new to collecting coins and wonder if this is an error of some kind. Or maybe from wear? The front of the dime shows the "W" in we very close to the edge (although most of them from this year seem to). Really curious about the back of it. It's like a perfect circle going around and through the words. Sorry that my camera isn't the greatest. Thanks in advance!
(I'm also new here, so I'm hoping this posts well. Ha, ha!)

Welcome to the community.
Please enlighten me of how you determined that this dime was minted in San Francisco?
Looks like a scratch on the reverse, if so, it's considered post mint damaged and likely damaged by a roll crimping machine.

The W in IGWT for the 1976 design is normal to be near, really near the rim. This design run for short time and in 1978 they redesign. This it is for Observe.

The Reverse show the hit from other coin. We see this offend. Could be from bags manipulations, transport or also from the rolls machine. After strike damage.

almost a normal looking coin, it could be a MAD strike, but I cannot tell because the reverse rim is missing from K9 to K3.
Plus the rolling machine gouge.
