This is my first coin that I am posting to this forum. Could somebody please help me figure out if this 1945 Wheat penny was damaged at the mint in or is it wear and tear from the 75 years it was on the move. I have not been able to find any other example of a Wheat penny missing the T in CENT or any other letter. There are also a few other letters missing in AMERICA and the letters that are there look to be strange, especially the S in STATES. Anything else I can do to improve my post will also be appreciated.

Thanks

Everything you have pointed out can be attributed to damage.
Remember, it is only an error if it can happen during the striking of the coin.
Anything that happens after that is damage.

Yes, post-strike damage. It seems part of the T took a horizontal 'grazing' hit.
