i have a gold coin that I have recently found out
was a c.700AD Denar there is only one coin shop in my town and they couldn't tell me a value or whether or not it is real or a forgery my grandfather gave it to me years ago and has since passed so I really don't know where he got it is there any way for me to tell if it is in fact real thanks

We have many experts here in the forum when it comes to ancient coins and forgery, but without the pictures it will be very imposible.

as soon as my wife wakes up ill send some pics (scanner) sorry
for now it weighs 2.7 grams is just smaller than a dime and about 1/2 the thickness
