Well you wouldn't believe me if I told you . That I got this out of a need a penny cup at the local liquor store.
But that is exactly where I got it.

to the CCF Nice find out of a need a penny jar. I can't see it being a DDO. All the dates in 44 looked like this.

Clearly damage to the 1 and the 9. Bag marks?

There is no DDO on this one. On the DDO's they are most often Class 6 doubled dies and look more like this:
1944-DDO--Lincoln-Penny
Note the tails on the '9' and the '44's. That is where you most often see the DDO's on this year.
