That's one of the oldest silver coins ever AFAIK, most earlier issues were electrum. And yeah, I really don't like the idea of slabbed ancient coins (especially this tiny!) but I see how it would provide more of a guarantee of authenticity. Today's issue has them, and with the meaning of the geometric design/animal. I plan to re submit them, but I live in the Philippines and it takes 5 to 7 months for the turn around with ngc, and even with PCGS hongkong!. Thanks all! Report this Post to the Staff

I should be taking delivery of a similar Lydian AR hemihekton in the next few days, though not slabbed. The coin is 8mm diameter and weighs in at 0.83gm.
