These Presidential dollars like the Sacagawea dollars are only worth face value, $1, once circulated with wear and/or spots. Millions of them were/are made. If they are uncirculated and graded/slabbed by a third party, PCGS, NGC, etc. they can be worth more. Do a google search for more info. Check sold prices on ebay and PCGS, NGC sites for value.

looks like his time as president is reflected in the coins appearance.

The condition is one piece of what determines the value of a coin. There were 35 million or so of these coins made in (P) Philadelphia and 37 million (D) Denver in 2011. In mint condition they may have added value but in circulated condition at this time they are listed as only worth the face value of $1. A guide book of United States coins 2023 lists it at $11 for a decent mint state condition MS65 while a grading company PCGS shows a range depending on the final grade a coin achieves but it costs money to grade so few would think to send in for grading this coin generally except in top shape. https://www.PCGS.com/prices/detail/...-active?pn=2

In this case its a circulated example and so does not have any added value. The good news is that if you like the coin you should be able to pick up a decent uncirculated or MS example for very little money.

Heres a top graded one, MS67+. Notice the differences in details on your coin vs this one on the face and in the hair along with the bowtie area to start.

Coinseller88- I hope you aren't one of these people on Etsy, offerup etc. selling these types of coins for outrageous prices..because it sure seems like it.
